The arm of the press doesn't stay up

 assembly, monochrome, screen-printing, sp_assembly

1. Description of the problem

Your screen goes down by itself avoid you to place it in the "up" position.

2. Possible origins

There are several possible origins here :

  • Your springs are not tightened enough.
    • You are leaving your squeegee on the screen without putting it against the head of the press.

      3. Solution

      • Fasten the screws of your springs to make sure they are at maximum tension.
        • You can also rotate the springs to add or remove tension.
          • Check if the screen can stay up by modifying your squeegee position on it.
            • Try to only hold your screen on the press. If it doesn't work, it probably means it is too heavy for this press.
