6. Y-axis Frame Assembly

Step #07 - Frame & Y2-axis Ballscrew Assembly

Allen Key 5mm

Instructions

  1. Place 6 sliding nuts on the right side of the front aluminium profile, leaving a distance of 30mm in between each nut.
    1. Repeat this operation on the back aluminium profile.
      1. Bring the Y2- axis ballscrew assembly, orientated with the motor at the back.
        1. Use the assembly gauge to make sure that it is placed in the right position, as shown in the pictures below.
          1. Use 12 screws to tighten the front and the back to the frame.

            Animation

            Take time to make sure that the ballscrew assembly is correctly aligned, since this will improve the overall performance of your machine.
