Step #09 - Installing the Motors

Tools needed

Allen Key 4mm Spanner 8mm

Instructions

  1. Insert the motor shaft into the coupler. Pay attention to the motor orientation (see picture below).
    1. Place a spacer between the motor and the gantry.
      1. Insert a screw to secure the spacer position and pre-tighten it with a locknut.
        1. Install the three screws left using the same technique.
          1. Repeat these operations on the other mirror assembly.

            Animation

            Do not fully tighten the locknuts now.
            Don't forget to firmly tighten the small screws on the motor coupler.
